Personal History Writing Topic WEEK 23: Fathers

NEW MONTH, NEW SUBJECT MATTER!

In June, we will be focusing our weekly topics on fathers, fatherhood, and the men in your family.

Talk about him

Dad, Daddy, Father, pop, pops, pa…any name you call him, lets honor him!

This week write what you know about your dad.

Things to think about:

  • where was your father born?
  • who are his parents?
  • where did he live growing up?
  • how did he meet your mother?
  • Your dads work history/occupation. What did he do for work?
  • think about what he liked to do in his spare time?
  • what are some of your earliest memories of him?
  • Are there some things you learned from your father? How did he teach you?
  • Do you/did you have a good relationship with your father?
  • Would you say he was strict or laid back?
  • What would you call his parenting style?
  • List some of his talents, or things he was good at?
  • Tell one thing you would like people to know about him?
  • Are there things you appreciate about your dad now that you are grown?
