Vintage Produce Crate Labels PUZZLE

OBSESSED!

I love puzzles. I happened to pick up a few from our local store the other week.

With the help of my husband and son (and at one point my mom and friend who were visiting) have been assembling them and enjoying the past few weeks.

I was on Amazon and found a 2 pack puzzle set that depicted 2 of my favorite things:

  1. Vintage Produce Crate Labels
  2. Retro and Vintage romance novels and comic books!

Well of course I HAD to get them. Come on. 2 of my favorite things in puzzle form!!

OBSESSED!

Vintage Produce Crate Labels

Yesterday Hubbs and I spent several hours putting together this puzzle.

It is a collage of various Vintage fruit and produce crate labels,

I Love old produce crate labels. They started in the late 1800s as a way for the farms and companies to advertise and market themselves. Can you imagine going into your local grocer or mercantile and seeing stacks of crates with these AMAZING labels on them?

Paper labels were soon replaced with pre printed boxes, leaving the labels a thing of the past and now a collectors item.

product review

I am really impressed with this puzzle. Seriously.

They come from Spinmaster, and are 1000 pieces

The box is nice and compact, the lid is nice and snug (a puzzle company that shall not be named has a box that the lid comes off way too easily and then there are puzzle pieces all over the place if it falls).

The finished size is about 20×20. There are 1000 pieces in this particular puzzle. The pieces all fit together nicely, no weird crazy shapes.

The colors and quality are great, the labels translate nicely into puzzle form. This puzzle can be fairly challenging in spots.

Price point is amazing.! 2 puzzles for under 13 bucks!! Most puzzles are 10-20 bucks each. This is TWO PACK!!

Best part is when you are putting the puzzle away the puzzle breaks up fairly easily, no sticky pieces!
