Dutch Strawberry Pie
I adore fresh strawberries. And there is plenty to do with them too. This vintage recipe for Strawberry Pie came from a newpaper or magazine cutout, (That I suspect was a california strawberries ad…as it called for fresh, delicious California strawberries)
This recipe was titled Dutch Strawberry Pie, but I think the better name would be (not really) Dutch Strawberry Pie…
A Dutch pie, usually has a bottom crust, filling, and then has a streusel type topping in place of a top crust.
This is really more like a glazed strawberry pie, but has the flavors of a dutch.
Either way, it’s a great way to use fresh strawberries AND eat pie. win win!!
