Writing topic: You are given 5 minutes with any ancestor…

Todays writing topic for the Personal History Journal is, “If you were given 5 minutes with any ancestor, who would you choose and what would you talk about?”

things to consider

I really liked this thought provoking question, and the answer isn’t so cut and dry.

There is a lot of variables that go into this pick. Just so many to choose from, who make the cut?

5 minutes isn’t a lot of time, so be concise!

who’s it gonna be?

Is it a grandparent that you miss?

Is it an ancestor that you have never met and want to pump them for information? (a brick wall ancestor).

Maybe you just want to know where Great Grandpa Joe hid his gold, or what aunt Maude did with her will.?

Want to know how Cousin Sadie made such famous gravy and why people still talk about it?

Would you just pick some random off your tree and see what happens?

No judgements and no wrong answers!

what would you talk about?

Are you a sit in silence and just enjoy the company type?

Do you have a list of questions and want to rapid fire them off? Perhaps you only have one or two burning questions?

Or do you just want a hug and tell them you love them and miss them?

challenge

Take 10 minutes and write in your personal history journal the answer to this, and any questions you would ask in your 5 minutes.
