Our writing topic for this week is “DO YOU KNOW THE STORY OF HOW YOUR GRANDPARENTS MET AND FELL IN LOVE?”
Questions to consider
If you dont have the information, this may be a good time to interview a relative that might!
- Where and how did they meet (city/state). was it at school? work? blind date? out with friends?
- how old were they?
- what were their first impressions of each other?
- What was their first date?
- any stories of when they were dating that you know?
- when did they know it was “the one”
- do you know details of the proposal?
- talk about the wedding. Are their details in the newspaper you can refer to?
- Do you have any wedding photos?
- Did they have a honeymoon?
- what things did they like to do together?
- How long were they married? Are they still married?
- what lessons have you learned by watching their relationship? How have they influenced you (can be both positive and negative)
- What are some memories you have of watching them together and their relationship.
